The INTENTION
Take a week off from your busy life and travel to Mexico with me, immersing yourself in a week-long holistic healing retreat like you have never experienced before.
This retreat was created to offer a safe space for women to retreat & take time for themselves. To allow their body, mind and soul to replenish, heal, and play in the ocean waves. The intention of this retreat is to weave ancestral Mexican medicine practices & eco therapy through the collaboration of local healers, surf instructors & the wisdom of Irene. I have crafted a very intentional holistic healing retreat for you to experience transformation and shifting into your own awareness towards a new relationship with yourself through community, wellness & nature.
The EXPERIENCE
Offerings will include a variety of transformational embodiment practices like: meditation, chi kung, breathwork, dance, sound healing, ceremony, and surfing. Exploring your inner Self through these practices will ignite the light within you, and build confidence in who you are. You will be able to surf through your internal landscape with ease & empowerment, and the goal is to be able to bring this new embodiment into your everyday life!
Our environment, nature, and its elements are our most influential teachers, a connection point to ourselves and others. It can teach us simplicity, flow, how to work in harmony, and co-creation with everything that is alive. It acts as a bridge to embody ourselves as being of this earth.
Surfing is a practice of surrendering and patience. Playing in the waves brings us back to our child-like nature of playfulness.
The ocean is very healing; just floating out on its body can transport you into a state of deep relaxation.
This retreat offers the perfect blend of time in nature, moving fluidly, dancing, laughing, or simply sitting still in silence. Individually these are powerful healing therapies - when combined they are exponential.
There will be lots of free time for Self, reading a book, walking on the beach and healing therapies. This is your retreat and I invite you to listen to what your intuition & wisdom is asking for. Many of us have lost that connection and my wish is to reawaken it within you.
This retreat is designed to be a la carte (bespoke) so that you can sense what resonates for you when choosing an activity and to allow spontaneity & flow to be part of your journey.

The LOCATION
Casa Tortuga, our healing sanctuary for the week, is a brand new luxury beachfront Villa on the shores of Playa la Saladita, steps away from world-class surfing. The Villa includes two houses: The main house & The Casita.
The Villa was designed so that every room has a view of the ocean and local surf break. Luxury linens, comfortable king-size beds, air conditioning, and hot water make this home unique to the area. The property also offers spacious outdoor living and dining areas under a huge palapa providing plenty of shade.
The entire property is surrounded by soft green grass for us to do our morning movement practices & evening healing workshops. The fully equipped kitchen is designed so that we can prepare your meals while watching the waves break in front of the house or the sunset over the horizon. The large, lighted infinity pool is perfect for swimming or floating. The rooftop terrace provides a 360-degree view of the ocean and mountains.
Casa Tortuga's beautifully landscaped grounds, gentle ocean breezes, shaded lounging and dining areas, and many private spaces, provide the perfect place to escape and relax.
The Main House: has 3 large bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs, all with king-size beds, private baths, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and hot water. The living room has a private full bath and two sofas that can accommodate up to 2 additional guests (for extra per person fee). Upstairs bedrooms each have a private, shaded wrap-around terrace with comfortable seating. Each room has 2 sliding walls that open to full views of the ocean to let in the warm tropical breeze, allowing you to fully experience the natural beauty that Playa la Saladita has to offer.
The Casita: is a stand-alone unit that is equipped with a king-size bed, large sofa, private bath with indoor/outdoor shower, fully stocked kitchen, air conditioning, ceiling fans, and hot water. The floor to ceiling sliding doors and large windows provide incredible ocean views.

GETTING THERE
The retreat starts at 5pm on Monday, December 1st and ends at 10am on Sunday, December 8th.
Casa Tortuga is situated 1 hour away from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH) with direct flights from 17 cities in North America. Connecting flights usually do a layover in Mexico City, from there the flight is 45 min to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Airport (ZIH).
The best way to get to your retreat destination from the airport is by hiring a taxi which costs around $100 USD one way. Pre-hired private drivers for pick up are available by request.

PAYMENT INFORMATION:
$500 USD non refundable deposit to hold your space. Balance is due November 1st 2024. For those coming alone, if you'd like to book a double room, we can bunk you with someone.
CANCELATION POLICY:
If you cancel before October 1st, you forfeit just the deposit. If you cancel between October 2nd - November 1st, you forfeit 50% of the balance. If you cancel after November 2nd, you forfeit the total amount.

These sessions are designed to help you integrate your experience in the water while surfing. Nature is our greatest teacher and when we put ourselves in challenging new experiences like surfing, we have the opportunity to extract so many gifts & lessons, sometimes after a big experience we forget to integrate, and for me integration is a must in all types of experiences to be able to learn, grow & implement the lesson moving forward in life.

Irene will offer a variety of conscious movement practices to help you drop into your body to start your day in alignment with your energy so that you can flow into your day feeling grounded, present & clear.
Irene teaches a combination of chi kung, breathwork, guided meditations, yoga nidra & ecstatic dance.

No you don’t have to know how to surf in order to come to this retreat, our amazing surf instructors are trained to guide different levels of surfing, from beginners to experts, the group will be divided by levels and we will make sure you will receive the perfect guidance to have the best surfing experience.

I have invited Angie to do a Real Women’s photo shoot with the women in this retreat. This photoshoot is a safe space to make noise leveraging the power of unity. We as women sometimes don’t realize the beauty we hold within & without, and it is not until we see it in camera that we realize. This photo shoot is designed to empower you, to honor your unique beauty & to have images for you to take home that can anchor you into your power.

No, this retreat is focused on natural medicines but not psychedelics. There will be the opportunity to experience a cacao ceremony, a Mexican traditional sweat lodge called Temazcal & a visit to the natural healing hot springs of the land to receive healing benefits for your body, mind, heart & soul.

This retreat is for you! You get to decide how much or how little you want to participate. We want you to feel the most relaxed, nourished, supported to receive the exact & perfect medicine that you need in your life.

Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the start date of the retreat will receive a full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
Cancellations made between 30 to 60 days prior to the start date of the retreat will receive a 50% refund of the total retreat cost.
Cancellations made less than 30 days before the start date of the retreat are non-refundable.
Refund Process:
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your cancellation request. Please note that the refunded amount will be issued using the same payment method used for the original reservation.
Force Majeure:
In the event of natural disasters, political unrest, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the retreat. In such cases, participants will be offered the option to transfer their reservation to a future date or receive a full refund.
No-Shows:
Participants who do not arrive for the retreat without prior notification will be considered as "no-shows" and will not be eligible for any refund or credit.
Travel Insurance:
We strongly recommend that all participants purchase travel insurance to cover unforeseen events such as illness, flight cancellations, or personal emergencies that may affect your ability to attend the retreat.
Cancellation Procedure:
To cancel your reservation, please contact us via email or phone as soon as possible. Your cancellation will be confirmed in writing, and the refund process will commence accordingly.
