Hello and welcome to Radiance, the podcast. My name is Irene, and I'm your host. So, welcome, welcome, welcome to my podcast! I'm very excited to have you here. A reminder that this podcast is in devotion to the illumination and liberation of the feminine. I bring you inspirational personal stories, but also educational content to support you in your path of holistic healing—especially for your body and womb space. I also want to offer you tools of transformation, so you feel empowered in your journey.

Today, I want to share something that I've been creating, and I hope it brings support to your healing journey, especially for your womb space. I created a womb quiz that uses Chinese medicine principles to, let’s say, diagnose (I don’t really love that word, but I’ll get into that later) and to help you understand your womb type based on Chinese medicine.

Now, I don’t like “diagnosis” because it can sometimes put you in a cage—it gives you a label. I believe everything can be transformed, and diagnosis can be helpful to bring what’s happening to light. The purpose of the womb quiz is to bring to light what’s happening in your womb, where you're unbalanced, so we can heal it and transform it. We can’t transform what we don’t observe, what we don’t see. If we leave things in the unconscious, in the shadows, we can't bring light to it. That’s why sometimes shadow work is so daunting—we don’t like facing the things we reject. But we need to see it, confront it, and face it.

Chinese medicine, as you know, is holistic. It looks at the person physically, energetically, emotionally, and spiritually. I truly believe that true healing comes from integrating all those pieces. To heal is to become whole, to become holy, to remember our sacredness.

So, through this womb quiz, you will receive a diagnosis of your womb type, based on Chinese medicine principles. You might have a cold womb, where you feel tired, lack libido, and perhaps even feel emotionally drained or sad. It might be that your internal fire is missing, often due to trauma, loss, or simply being too depleted from giving too much to others. Painful periods may accompany this, and you might crave warmth like a hot water bottle. What’s needed here is to bring back your inner fire.

Then there are hot wombs—these are the women who are constantly on the go, with fiery tempers and short fuses. You might experience early periods, with thin, watery blood that’s bright red. You may also feel dry, either emotionally or physically, and experience anger or frustration more easily. The solution is to cool down, slow down, and find rest. Hydration is key, and connecting with nature—walking by rivers or through forests—can bring balance.

Another type is stagnant wombs, where the energy inside feels stuck. This can show up in conditions like endometriosis, where you may experience painful, heavy periods with clots and dark blood. A key sign of stagnation is feeling stuck in some area of life, whether in your job, relationship, or recurring patterns. Movement is key—getting your body moving helps to get the energy flowing. Curcumin can also support this process.

Damp wombs are characterized by heaviness, bloating, or fluid retention, often before your period. Conditions like PCOS or fibroids are commonly linked with this. If you feel heavy or experience mucus in your period, it’s important to eliminate foods that contribute to dampness, such as cold drinks, raw foods, sugar, dairy, alcohol, and fried foods. Opt for lighter foods and herbs like mint, which can support your healing.

Lastly, there are healthy wombs. These women are the rare ones who experience a balanced womb. But in today’s world, it's difficult to maintain this with the toxic environment we live in—processed foods, chemicals, and plastics are everywhere. To keep your womb healthy, drink filtered water, eat organic fruits, vegetables, and hormone-free meats. Removing plastics from your household and choosing chemical-free skincare and cleaning products is also essential.

If you want to learn more, take the womb quiz! It’s free, and you’ll get a PDF with self-care practices. If you want to dive deeper, I have the Womb Medicine Bundle, which includes a master class and embodied practices to help you connect with and heal your womb in a holistic way. It’s only $27, and the value is over a thousand. It’s a no-brainer if you’re feeling called to heal your womb in a deeper way.

Go ahead and take the womb quiz first, and from there, you’ll get an invitation to the Womb Medicine Bundle. Let me know if you have any questions or if there are any themes you'd like me to talk about, such as sacred sexuality, holistic healing, herbs, womb healing, or feminine empowerment. I’d love to hear from you!

Also, let me know what type of womb you have. Remember, we’re dynamic beings, and this can change over time. You may have a hot womb now, but in the future, with the right practices, you can create balance and heal.

That’s my prayer for you. Sending you lots of love. I’ll see you in the next episode!
