Did you know that we, as women, hold in our collective unconscious the light and the shadow of all the feminine archetypes? And it's important to do this deep healing of integrating both not only for ourselves but for all women in the world. As sisters, we create a ripple effect by our personal healing and transformation. I truly believe that as we heal ourselves, we heal the collective. Hello and welcome to Radiance, the podcast. My name is Irene, and I'm your host.
Okay, so today I wanted to share my experience on this beautiful women's healing retreat that I attended. The intention of this retreat was to integrate the light and the shadow of the Triple Goddess with the help of a beautiful spirit plant from the Amazon called Kambo..
Just to share a little bit about the Triple Goddess feminine archetypes, what are these and what were we integrating? The Triple Goddess encompasses the feminine archetypes of the maiden, the mother, and the crone. Archetypes are patterns of energy and consciousness that reside in our collective unconscious, universal, like characters in stories that come alive in our psyche at certain stages of our lives. In Jungian theory, there are seven main archetypes: the anima (feminine), the animus (masculine), the hero, the adversary, the journey, death, rebirth, and the self (integration of all archetypes). The Triple Goddess, in particular, embodies the stages of a woman's lifetime: the maiden represents the youthful phase before menstruation, the mother signifies fertility and creativity, and the crone symbolizes wisdom and maturity.
The maiden, in her shadow, can be irresponsible, seeking external validation, lacking boundaries, and passive. Yet, when transformed, she becomes vibrant, authentic, playful, assertive, and independent, embodying qualities akin to Artemis, the goddess of the hunt.
Moving on to the mother, this stage marks the onset of menstruation, symbolizing fertility and creative potential. However, in her shadow, the mother may lose herself in nurturing others, neglecting her own needs and boundaries. But when empowered, she takes responsibility for her life, sets boundaries, and nurtures herself and others consciously.
Finally, the crone stage represents menopause, a time of inner wisdom and transformation. In her shadow, she may resist aging, feeling powerless or trapped. Yet, when integrated, she becomes a wise woman, a leader connected to the earth, embodying freedom and joy.
During the retreat, we also worked with the powerful plant medicine Kambo, known for its purification properties. It induced a deep process of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual detoxification, aligning us with our true selves.
For me, the most profound part of the retreat was the mother stage. Being a physical mother had always been a deep desire, yet unfulfilled. I carried shame from societal expectations, particularly prevalent in Mexican culture. Through the medicine, I experienced labor pains, releasing the shame and embracing my nurturing essence in new ways.
In the integration, I emerged with a mantra: "I am a powerful, radiant Shakti connected to my womb, wisdom, and the magic of life." This declaration encompasses my newfound empowerment, embracing the light and shadow of the Triple Goddess within me.
Thank you for listening. If you have any questions or are interested in the retreat, feel free to send me a personal message. Many blessings to you all. Ciao for now.
